Installing arch is easy and straightforward - if you know about how a linux system boots, and are comfortable with a console.

But if you don't, then it's a mystical series of incantarions where a typo may (seem to) ruin the whole thing! · 1 year ago

@sdfgeoff Many people say installing arches difficult. May I ask, what is so difficult about it? · 1 year ago

Yeah, I've been using Arch for years. To my surprise, I found I've had fewer issues with Arch than with more 'well supported' options like Ubuntu. But in my opinion the OS is less important than the workflow you pick - so find a DE/WM that you like and use whatever OS you've got working. · 1 year ago

I use Fedora. Thinking of trying NixOS someday · 1 year ago

I've been using GNU/Linux as my daily driver OS for almost ten years now. I started out with Ubuntu but I've been using Linux Mint for several years now, and really enjoy it. Of course, I highly customize it and keep nonfree software to an absolute minimum. · 1 year ago

I'd argue that a whole lot of people here have experience. without it you won't be able to use half of the free services 😂. I prefer Archlinux · 1 year ago
