So I wrote a lengthy post/article the other day about how to configure and use Delta Chat. Most of the information in the article was good, but I leaned too much on the idea that enabling "Send Copy to Self" would fix the Gmail handles e-mails on the server.
However, I seem to have noticed behavior to the contrary, so rather than rewrite that article or edit it to correct the misinformation, I went ahead and deleted it. Perhaps I will revisit the topic again in the future, but I think no need to keep it online if half of it is wrong. :D
The expected behavior was that when deleting an email that was bcc'd to self from the inbox, it would also be deleted from the sent folder. This seemed to hold true when the message was deleted from within Gmail itself, but when Delta Chat deletes it off the server, for some reason a copy still remains in Sent.
So far I can't figure out any suitable workaround, so this is issue with Gmail is probably just going to stand until changes are made to Delta Chat's code. Oops!
