Date : Dec 7, 2019 Beer : Little Saint Nick Source : Roak Brewing Co. Style : Cranberry Gose City : Royal Oak, MI ABV : 4.2%
"The tart intensity of this beer submits to a light addition of pink Himalayan salt. This gose subtly presents the complexity of the cranberry and offers a crisp sensation of malted white wheat to the palate."
There's nothing "subtle" about this beer. The tart cranberries and pink salt are equal parts loud, and they vie for attention on my tongue. After taking a gulp my mouth is slightly numb and it hurts to swallow. Any complex flavor that might be present here is totally losy on me.
This is the fourth fruity beer so far and we're only on day seven! I think I've had about as much cranberry as I can take. I'm ready for some hops. Like, West Coast Triple IPA style hops.
No.
A 4 oz. taster is about all I could stomach.
