I've recently started the spec for fmrl, which is a simple protocol for status messages. Like finger but with structured data. Like Discord statuses, but without all that Discord stuff. I'm curious where it will go, and whether it'll be fun and useful for people.
Mostly targeting the Mastodon crowd, but I think Geminauts might be interested as well. Check it out!
