Cool, I hadn't heard of JOMO before either but I like the idea. I guess JOMO is sort of the purpose of some of the wellbeing features that have gotten popular on phones the last several years? Hopefully disconnecting every once in a while can become a positive trend. · 4 months ago
I think this is partially a "life stages" thing as well. It's a lot easier to embrace JOMO, or avoid FOMO, once you are established. When you're still trying to find your footing and make a name for yourself, it's a lot harder. Maybe in different terms: FOMO seems to be a result of, and also a way to deal with, both having need and also not yet having a clear focal point for yourself.
