I live in the south of Sweden since 2004.
Spending most of my time in an office or a flat in central Malmö. Weekends and sometimes for weeks I'm in my holiday home, a cottage in the woods, ~60 km from Malmö. I share my dwellings with my wife Petra and our daughter, often mentioned as #3 in my gemlog. My two grown sons Ludvig (#1) and Gabriel (#2) have moved out.
Seriously into historical longsword fencing in the German tradition (training with MHFS) and cycling minimalist bikes since a few years.
Trying to get back into reading fiction, mostly SF&F.
Getting really into the Modula-2 revival. A gem of a language that many people seem to have forgotten about.
In November 2021 I started working in the Trustworthy Computing Research team at Mullvad VPN after almost seven years at Netnod. I'm still using the same office in Malmö that I share with some friends, at least when I'm not working from home. We will probably lose access to the office in February 2023.
Trying to work a ~30 hour week since 2008, mostly to get more time with my family, my books, my swords, my bikes, and to keep my wits about me.
I continue to practise zazen, the zen buddhist form of sitting meditation which I started doing in my teens.
I'm on a lengthy social media break but maintain a skeleton presence on some of them. Please don't be offended if I'm not answering your friend request.
You can find me in the Fediverse at @mc@hackers.town but I'm on a Fedi break from 2022-04-30. Instead, I update my Gemini log quite often:
Most of the local groups I was a part of are dormant: Malmö Open Source Interest Groug (MOSIG), the hackerspace Forskningsavd (web-site down and the space closed), #merakrypto, et cetera. Our weekly hacker's lunch is still alive but it was virtual-only for quite a while during the pandemic.
