THE HOMELESS WANDERER - EMAHOY TSEGUÉ-MARYAM GUÈBROU
THe extraordinary life of Ethiopia's 93-year-old singing nun, by KATE MOLLESON, for THE GUARDIAN
Okay, this isn't a NEW article, and I read it years ago but it stuck with me, and when I thought about using THE HOMELESS WANDERER as the song of the day I thought it would be appropriate. A very beautiful interview with an incredible person.
Ancient Gardens Persist in British Columbia's Forests, by JESSA GAMBLE, for HAKAI MAGAZINE
I had never heard of temperate forest gardens. Sometimes it's overwhelming, the amount of indigenous knowledge that we've lost or (in the case of the people I'm from) actively worked to suppress and destroy. That these gardens still exist in some form helps, I think.
I'm going to be honest - I was working all day, plus I'm just rebuilding my subscriptions after technical difficulties. This hog is hollow! More tomorrow!
I'd seen Arthur Heming's work before but never actually connected it with American impressionism - really cool.
thats it for today, keep it hoggy. if you see something, say something - oldmansmix@protonmail.com
