Someone finally found a pattern to Mastodon's habit of occasionally deciding not to process regular tasks any more. For instance, I use to get regular emails for new trending hashtags to moderate, but that stops after a while. Users complain that scheduled toots sometimes stop going out as expected. Now we've identified a manual workout to un-stick the task scheduler when this happens, and hopefully that means an actual fix will be forthcoming.
