Living in Austin, TX
Somehow ended up in retail management, specifically at a grocery store. I hate it and love it in equal measure.
Working on expanding computer skills, not for any career goal, but just because it is fun. Current interests: Linux, gemini, nvim, Obsidian.

Aging, but trying not to become old. Still open to new ideas, still hopeful for social change, but realistic enough to accept that I won't see much of it in my lifetime. If the kids want to rise up, I am with them in spirit.
Increasingly disillusioned by the internet, specifically the Web. Facebook really fucked things up. Not just Facebook, of course, but they are a prime source in making the internet suck - a combination shopping mall/panopticon. I am hopeful about alternative protocols - gemini for example. I like that there are people who are attempting to return the personal, the DIY spirit of the old Net. I like the small web movement, and I will admit it's partially from a sense of nostalgia. I am hopeful that something new will be built by looking back on the old things.
Currently obtaining the mental health care I have needed for my entire life. I can thank Covid plunging the world into chaos for forcing me to take a long hard look at my life and take steps to fix it.
