Personal update

So it's a been a bit since I last updated here. I've been busy with work and the fact that I have a baby coming in a few days. We've been scrambling to clean up the house and do those last minute preparations. The baby will be here probably sometime Thursday or Friday (18th or 19th) so there isn't a lot of time.

In other news, I'm been trying to experiment with dopamine detoxing today. I left my phone on the charger this morning and besides looking at email, have not looked at it once. I'm also trying to keep myself from watching Youtube as that's a major addiction for me. I've been trying to keep myself occupied with cleaning but a major part of the detoxing is being pretty bored. Technically, I shouldn't be on the computer but as I'm simply writing, I don't count that.

I've also been working on drafting some posts on paper before I type them up. Most of these drafts probably won't actually make it to this log as they aren't particularly good posts (usually just me venting about something) but it's cathartic to write things down on paper sometimes. I'm trying to write something down at least once a night, just so I'm not keeping stuff bottled up inside of me.

As I mentioned, I have my baby daughter on the way soon, so I probably won't get a lot of free time to write here. I'll try to get a post here and there though (maybe a picture once she's out 😊.)
