Me too, but only because it really feels like there's less effort behind it (old school cell drawings is a dying art) and simply too much of it (ask for a recommendation and you'll receive 20).
I commend the studios/directors/artists that release their stuff very seldom and only when they think its ready. The Neon Genesis films are like this, and I don't particularly enjoy them, but I respect the level of thought and effort that went into producing them and the long time between releases.
Too much of a good thing, you know?
That's another thing too - there's just SO MUCH of EVERYTHING nowadays. Too much anime, too many games, too many series, etc etc. Impossible to keep abreast of it all.
