Most of what will be in this capsule is about the 1930s-design airplane I'm building, a French Mignet Pou-du-Ciel. I intend to get my build log up on Gemini as well as the Web, but until then, you can look at the various pictures and files regarding my build. I also have some design notes I've written up on the slightly-modernized version I'm building. A lot more information can be found on the Web, especially in French — Mignet was French.

I'm a big advocate for finding peaceful means of addressing our problems and refraining from forcing people to do as we think they should. Social pressure is fine; taking your business elsewhere and sending a strongly worded letter is great; forcing your neighbor to act as you please at gunpoint (and all laws are enforced at gunpoint, in the end) is not good.
I believe, very strongly, that our contemporary tendency to conflate what people should not do with what people should not be _allowed_ to do is a Very Bad Thing™. It makes every disapproving look a threat to our freedom, which makes it much harder for us to live tolerantly together. We can express disapproval, either practical or moral, while remaining conscious that we have no power to force others to agree with us on matters which do not touch us.
I also am a musician; I play the violin, viola, and piano, and I write music. In a former life I was a computer programmer, and I still try to keep current with what's new and useful. Every once in a while I combine these interests to create something interesting, like the Abcenatrix, a tool for viewing, editing, and managing tunebooks in ABC musical notation.
You can see a couple of my less-interesting but more polished compositions and arrangements on IMSLP
You can probably see me play on YouTube
I compiled a Primitive Baptist hymnal, the Old-Line Primitive Baptist Hymn and Tune Book, completed in 2018 (I think). I really do think it's the most sound Primitive Baptist hymnal available. (It also has the longest title.)

The best way to contact me is to send me a handwritten letter. I'm serious, it will get you so much attention.
