My site generation scripts for Gemini is a huge mess of chewing gum and wire hangers implemented in five or six languages but one part of the puzzle that people might be interested in is a small Chicken program that removes blank lines if and only if they are between two link lines.

It’s just a Unix filter from stdin to stdout (so pipe it to sponge if you want to edit in place).
