      Title: Satays
 Categories: Polkadot, Faylen, Meats, Thai
      Yield: 10 Skewers
 
      1 lb Chicken breasts,
           -lean pork, beef, or
           -ham sliced thin
      3    Cloves of minced garlic
    1/2    Onion, minced
      2 ts Minced cilantro
      1 tb Brown sugar
           The juice of 1 lime
      1 tb Nampla ("fish sauce")
      1 tb Vegetable oil
 
  Thread the meet onto 12-inch bamboo skewers, placing several strips
  on each of the 16 skewers. Combine the garlic, onion, cilantro, brown
  sugar, lime juice, nampla, and vegetable oil in a bowl. Pour over the
  skewers and marinate for 1 hour. Heat barbecue coals until hot, or
  preheat a broiler. Place the skewers on the grill or broiler rack and
  cook until done as desired. Serve the satays with peanut butter sauce.
