Every time I mention to people that I do not use Discord, it seems they always lose their minds. I one time had someone ask me "if I am against every good thing", something I was also asked when I said I dislike RGB computer peripherals. Well, if that question didn't make it obvious enough, Discord seems to be a home of all narcissists. Indeed, every Discord server I had ever experienced from 2018-2019 was full of power hungry beggars. People constantly ratting eachother out, becoming power hungry moderators, banning people they didn't like, fighting in DMs, ect. The final tipping point for me was when I sent myself an ecchi image in a server where I am the only member, and I received an email saying my account was flagged for sending an NSFW image in a non-NSFW channel. I now unapologetically use Steam voice/group chats for all of my daily online communications, and use the Japanese messenger "LINE" for all of my mobile contacts, whom I do not talk to often anyways.
In other news, I have a few updates. After 8 years, I left Ubuntu after getting fed up over their coziness with Microsoft, as well as it being publicly discovered that their proprietary snap packages connect to Canonical's servers without the user knowing, no matter what distribution of Linux you use. I switched to LMDE, or Linux Mint Debian Edition. The same day, I also found an absolutely gorgeous 100hz Acer monitor at a thrift store for $3.00, a great start to my LMDE experience.
