Travel companion

It really likes to travel. It wants to go far and wide. But it can't do it on its own. Instead it prefers to tag along.

Where you go, it wants to come with. It'll come with you on a plane, come see the sights on a nice holiday. Far-away lands are always a thrill, so many new people to meet.

But it's happy even if you don't venture far. It'll happily go shopping with you, or go see grandma. Maybe try a new restaurant? Or just lounge around the break room at work.

And when it travels with you, it'll always spread the word of your travels. It likes to sail the winds of your breath and cling onto your fingertips. It also brings its friends, so they can experience all the wonderful things you get up to.

But eventually those friends got too loud and obnoxious for us, and so we decided to stay put. Closed the doors and shut out the noise. This the travel companion didn't like, it got bored and lonesome. And when we did travel, we didn't let it sail on the winds and kept our fingers too slippery.

One day we'll travel again. But let's be mindful of those we travel with.
