Reverb

At my old job the office was noisy. At one point I wore ear-defenders, but this was too passive-aggressive (apparently).

For a while I got through the day by playing electronic music and pink noise and numbers stations, at the same time, through an enormous amount of reverb and an LPF. This was all "in the box" (i.e. on the CPU) so it caused my Macbook to get hot and kick in the fans. It was great isolation though, and when I took off my headphones for a break it was like emerging from some other place.

Today I'm listening to Crystal Castles through a reverb pedal on maximum dwell, 100% wet. Reminds me of those times. (It's nice to have pedals in the output chain of my mixer). That's all.
