crosswords

this is my attempt to catalogue my attempts at nyt crossword solving. i am a very amateur crossword solver who is only able to solve the monday NYT crossword usually. i will begin tracking from today. i do not tackle the crossword every day and have recently been tackling them in spurts on the weekend when work is more lax.

i will still consider a puzzle solved if the online crossword thing tells me i have something wrong and i can figure out what it is on my own

TALLY (oldest tries to newest):

monday 11/8/21 - solved

tuesday 11/9/21 - almost solved, put "bile" instead of "fire" and didn't know "rhone" (french wine valley). gave up on getting further into the week

monday 12/19/21 - solved

tuesday 12/20/21 - solved. definitely easier than the last one i did, 11/9/21.

wednesday 12/21/21 - got close but gave up after about an hour. did not know expectorated meant spat or muscat was a city in oman (or really know about oman, to be completely honest.), among others

tuesday 12/7/21 - solved it all except put "tipcut" instead of "tipout".

monday 4.23.17 - got close, missed 3 letters

monday 12.6.21 - missed it by a damn letter.

tuesday 11.30.21 - gave up halfway through. am i really this bad??? or am i just impatient.
