A project to make a Pint Glass MIDI Instrument

Happen to have a 6DOF IoT VR Pint Glass lying around. It was intentionally made to be janky. Maybe we could build a more reliable device that could be used as a MIDI controller?

Will need a wireless connection between the pint glass and the MIDI host. This part is pretty straightforward, some sort of radio package or an ESP will get communication working easily.

What sensors can we put in?

• Orientation
• Level of liquid in glass
• Brightness (maybe can add illumination and see difference between light/dark beer)
• Is resting on table?
• Pressure button
• Resistive slider along length

The most difficult piece is to enclose the electronics in the glass. May need custom acrylic container. Very research-stage at the moment.
