Street cordoned off after 'window fallen' from top floor apartment in Belfast city centre

A large top-floor apartment window had fallen to the ground in Belfast city centre.

Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service has cornered off a section of Queen's Square after it was reported that a window from The Boat Apartments had shattered.

No injuries have been reported at the incident and there is currently one NIFRS appliance at the scene.

A spokesperson for the NIFRS said: "We got the call at 5.20pm that a large window had fallen from one of the upper floors.

"We were called for pedestrian safety - our crews have put a cordon in place and are assisting with safety.

"There are no injuries reported."

There are currently no further details on how the incident occurred.
