Hello and welcome to the first episode of DWTHAYLT, a series in which I'll show off some interesting pieces of music I believe deserve more attention.
The debut album by experimental opera / trip-hop duo - Corpo-Mente. The band features members from Igorrr and Öxxö Xööx.
Corpo-Mente's debut album released on CD and digitally on march 24th, 2015 through blood music (Finland/USA). And with a vinyl release date of April 28th, 2015.

I gotta admit, Igorrr isn't my cup of tea, for the most part, but this piece is pure gold. it's much more melodic and structured in somewhat conventional way, far more approachable than their standard output. Öxxö Xööx is also very pleasant, but there is something very special about Corpo-Mente that makes me fall in love with it. Whether it is the emotional opera-style vocals, backed by beautifully sampled instruments and synths here and there, or the relatively complex rhythms and song structure, or maybe it's the careful balance of all these.
