Hello and welcome to my Gemini capsule. My name is Reuben (ruenoak online) and this is my space in the Gemini universe. I live in Auckland, New Zealand with a cat and I work in local Government.

I am passionate about open source technologies and free software and use it wherever I can. I also have a healthy or unhealthy obsession with cartoons and all things animation, the history, the style, the storey and everything else that goes with it.

I am a fan of the Unix philosophy in code and in life, clutter and bloat becomes a great annoyance to me ;) Which is why Gemini is a breath of fresh air as the World Wide Web has sadly become a tangled mess of corporate insanity. With Gemini it is text, clean, simple and very zen. Easy to read, easy to load and pleasing to the eye and peace of mind.
