In the living room there is a Tingtinga painting hanging above the sofa. We bought it in Copenhagen because we liked the bright colours and the dense interweaving of animals. It reminded me of the graphics of M.C. Escher, but then in colour and with African animals. There is one bird that steps out of the pattern and grabs a fish out of the stream of fish and when I think of this painting I always think of this bird and fish, even though they are only two of the hundreds of animals in the picture.
