Tributes have been paid to former Love/Hate actor Stephen Clinch after his death on Tuesday.
The Dublin actor played the character of Noely, a criminal in a feud with the character Fran (Peter Coonan), in seasons four and five of the hit RTÉ crime series.
The father-of-three also appeared in the 2017 film Cardboard Gangsters and in the 2019 TV series Darklands.
Clinch was jailed in 2016 after he admitted carrying out a €50,000 armed robbery.
He was released from prison in 2019.
Cardboard Gangsters and Darklands director Mark O'Connor was among those paying tribute to Clinch on Twitter.
O'Connor wrote: "You made mistakes but you came through them. An incredible actor, the only one to star in all my films & Darklands.
"One of the funniest people you could ever meet never asked for nothing & gave everything. Today Dublin has lost one of its realest legends. RIP my pal Clinchy."
Clinch's former Love/Hate co-star Peter Coonan also tweeted a tribute to the late actor.
"Thinking of Clinchy's family at this difficult time, and remembering fondly the many laughs we had on and off set over the years," he wrote. "Never a dull moment and a joy to work with. RIP."
Actor John Connors posted a tribute to Clinch on his Instagram Stories, saying he was "one of the funniest and most decent people I've ever known" and "as loyal as a friend you could ever want".
"Love you Clinchy. Will miss you always," Connors added.
Robbie Breen, who starred alongside Clinch in Darklands, told The Sunday World of the late actor: "He was a true character on and off the set, may he rest in peace."
Clinch's funeral will be held on Saturday morning at 11am in the Church of Our Lady Immaculate, Darndale.
