Wow, that's a lotta everything but fun.
Your "less sensational style of reporting" regarding the Canadian Broadcasting Company got me remembering how much I used to appreciate the anchor
for what I considered "facially unbiased reporting", because I swear she kept the same facial expressing regardless the topic/story, thus to me not attempting to covertly sway viewers in directions/degrees not actually present in the verbiage.
I considered that in stark contrast to most other news anchors/reporters, who from my point of view were practicing becoming face contortionists whenever in front of the camera....
Great term, facially unbiased.
Somewhere I picked up the phrase "press is for profit", same applies to news shows and sites to some degree, maybe.
Maybe a little jaded with the sensationalist nature of minor things.
