PLEASE CONTACT THE OWNER ------------------------------------------ After many years in the Academy, I'm finally setting off for an adventure of my own across the stars. I'm not the first to do this; who can forget the tales of the great space captain Buzz Lightyear or the legendary sandwich maker Arthur Dent? Suffice it to say, I'm just the latest in a long line of space travelers. I've rigged up a rudimentary QEC transmitter because this ship doesn't have one. If you're reading this, that means the device worked. I don't suppose I'll ever know if it worked, at least until I find some way of recieving messages. I suppose I should give a quick status report: Oxygen generators and heaters are functioning within acceptable limits. One of the water lines has developed a fault, but I'm not sure what it is. I've set the ship's diagnostic systems to monitor and report back to me. The supply of "dead" (read: freeze-dried) food is still going strong, and the plants are growing nicely. I'll have to start work on a scanner system one of these days. I'm flying blind here, and that's not very pleasant. I only know where I am because of the tiny porthole on the roof of the cockpit. I already have all the parts I need, in cargo. I just need to put it together. That's all engineering is, really. Putting stuff together in the right order. This is Captain Pax Terra, signing off. ------------------------------------------ END OF TRANSMISSION DESIGNATION: SC PROMETHEUS BLUE SIGNATURE: 7fe14bf0-352f-4a8c-8ba4-538483840349 WARNING: SIGNATURE CORRUPTED OR INVALID.
