I opened up a minidisc and put some songs on it, and noticed one of them kept skipping. I listened to the source file. Sounded fine. The rest of the tracks played fine as well, so I decided to copy it over again, and now it plays perfectly. I have no idea what happened.

Does anyone else get a wierd feeling when they stumble upon someones personal site where they share their whole resume/CV including real life addresses and phone numbers. I get that the internet was a lot different 20-30 years ago and people didn't worry much about spam bots or doxxing but in 2022 that just kinda seems very risky without much benefit. Then again, people old enough to remember a time when sharing RL info like that you're too old to give a shit about being doxxed

I just found a local bank's website is pointed to by an alterantive domain. And that domain is also owned by the bank. Firthermore, when accessing through that domain, the website activelly tries to redirect you to the non-encrypted HTTP side. This can't be good. And they are in my blacklist permanently

I got a new phone today. (Galaxy Z Flip 3) I didn’t sign into anything when setting up and then immediately proceeded to “ungoogle” the phone, deleted the Google apps and set F-droid as my main storefront for apps. (Set up Aurora as well for apps I can’t get on F-droid)

so, qtwebengine finally failed... so I said fuck it and $ sudo apt install calibre I cannot run calibre, but ebook-convert (somewhat) works. ebook-viewer doesn't work but I have fbreader. I guess that is that. Now I can screw around with epub'ing some gemini, maybe add some curl in there and add gopher to the mix?
