This is the editor I use these days. There’s just something nice and cozy about plain text editors with file browser sidebars.
If you must write in the cloud, why not use self-host? I find Etherpad pretty simple to handle.
I used this for a while as a combined organizer/diary/notebook. It didn’t work out for me but maybe it will for you.
A markdown editor that allows for organization and cross-referencing.
Like Gedit before the Gnome UI went to shit. A little clunky, though.
An alternative to cloud storage. Sync your projects between your devices on the same network. Also works for non-writing purposes!
