I sometimes like to pick up a movie completely randomly, knowing nothing about it, to either be pleasantly suprised, or just to leave my comfort zone of movies I would usually watch.
For The Doorman, I saw Jean Reno on the cover and said "Well, why not?". I'll tell you why, because it is utterly bad.
Imagine Die Hard, but failed. The plot is a copy/paste (terrorists take an hotel, one super ex-soldier is inside), action scenes are cheap, every characters are cliché and bland, etc.
It can't even be taken ironically as there is no humor.
Don't watch it.
