Among all the other introduced pests in Australia, one that I really detest and keep meeting up with is the European wasp[1]. Sadly, there seem to be more and more of them each year, spreading further and further around the country and deeper into bushland. On our two weeks in Tasmania they were everywhere, not a day went past when we didn't have to be careful getting in or out of the car, or watching out when eating or drinking outside.
Today while walking around the streets near work I looked down to see something fly out of the flower bed near my feet, then make its way very slowly across the concrete path. I suspect it wasn't well, but stomping on it was satisfying. If only the nests and the rest of them were so easy to get rid of
