Cork weather: Brilliant Ed Sheeran forecast but warning for those staying out for the night

28 Apr

Met Eireann's forecast is looking fantastic for the next few days but there's one thing those going to the gigs should take note of.

Today will see temperatures go as high as 17C with good sunshine expected for most of the day.

Thirty-five thousands people are going to be flooding into the city today, and they're being told to watch out as there's a "chance of the odd shower" but that's not the only thing they'll need to keep an eye on.

Although it's really good throughout the day, people staying out after dark will need to wrap up a bit as the temperatures are expected to go as low as 2C.

Met Eireann say there'll be a "chilly feel" tonight but thankfully it should stay clear and dry.

They said: "Today will be dry with sunny spells mixed with some cloud. Just the chance of the odd shower. Highest temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees, with light easterly or variable winds.

"Chilly again tonight but mostly clear and dry. Light easterly winds or near calm conditions will allow patches of mist or fog to form. Lowest temperatures of 2 to 6 degrees, coldest over the eastern half of the country."

Those going to Friday's gig can also be optimistic - it'll be slightly cloudier but the warm feeling will remain through the day.

They said: "Dry and bright on Friday with hazy spells of sunshine. Cloud will spread from the Atlantic during the afternoon and evening. Light easterly or variable breezes and highest temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees."
