Ainent is a character from an old, now defunct, MUD I played many years ago, Nightmare LPMUD. I think he was an evil elven kataan (multi-classed cleric + fighter)? He has also lived as a half-elf bard in Dungeons & Dragons. He would be pleased to know his namesake lives on in yet another niche hobby, here in Geminispace.
Esperamente puedes entenderme.
On this capsule, you'll mostly find topics on: computer programming, gaming, original fiction, privacy, information security (infosec) and Gemini meta discussion. Occasionally I have and will continue to delve into politics -- overtly or covertly, depending upon my mood and the topic at hand. Directly below you'll find some high level sections containing closely related posts. One day I'll get around to adding some tag filtering for more loosely related content, but I need to write a lot more before bothering with that.
Most of the content here will be in English, but you may encounter a bit of Spanish or something else from time to time. I'll try to remember to prefix links to those with [ES] or the appropriate language abbreviation.
Oh, and sometimes I will mirror other content. Come to think of it, I should expand the offerings there.
smolver: the Gemini server that runs this capsule
MUD (text-based game) / related projects
Both are being written from scratch in Swift, the only dependencies being to handle socketing, SSL and (for the TUI app) writing to a fullscreen terminal window. Once the MUD is further along, I plan to release it under the AGPL. This server's code is linked below.
