Last night I wriggled out of a long drive that might have happened today. It just made no sense given the insignificance of the event relative to the effort required to attend it - complete with, um... let's call 'em "evacuation issues" that turn public restrooms into stall-laden houses of horror.
Okay, slight exaggeration there. Let's just say it's complicated....
So... I've got the coffee brewing while typing this, downing some yummy leftovers, wife still slumbering. I got the vague sense whilst falling asleep she was having trouble doing the same. If nothing else it's a rock solid reason for not awakening her sooner.

This region had attained unto snow-free-ness, but we got a fresh, lasting coat a couple days ago, so the ground is very much the color that seemingly invokes instant disdain in "woke" minds these days.... <coughs>
