Clock Skew at large

tags: time

Today/tomorrow ist the last weekend in March 2021. So it is this time of the year again where by decree of some truely important folks the agreed time of the day around here is moved one hour east. Needless to say, that I'm not if favour of this stupidity. Needless to say, that efforts to get rid of this /cult/ and return to the state of affairs before 1980 have not yet been successful. When I went to school, there was no such thing, and if I remember correctly, life was not deprived of some unknown or untold good, which was promised by instantiating said behaviour. Sigh.

Stefano Maggiolo of

The poor man's math blog

has created a fascinating map displaying the difference between local solar noon and official noon. Enjoy!
