Apollo informs:

The Apollo team is working on another Amiga game.

Arne and I made the two Amiga games "Apollo-Blocks" and "Apollo-Crown" with our team members Kevin Saunders and Martin Ahman last year.

Now we are working on a remake of the popular Amiga game "Menace". Our remake "Apollo Menace" is optimized for the Super-AGA hardware and offers the following improvements in addition to the well-known Amiga shoot em feeling:

- Buttery smooth 50 FPS scrolling

- High resolution graphics

- 24bit true color with alpha blending

- 3 smooth scrolling playfields

- Dual player fun in team mode

- Amiga multichannel music in 16bit with CD quality, as well as CD quality sound effects

Kevin has been working on the graphics for a while. We started writing the game engine this week.

The game was developed in 68K assembler on the V4.

Arne has posted a video on Youtube showing the progress of the engine.

You can see the dual player game very well, as well as the true color graphics and the first level. We plan to finish Apollo Menace this summer and release it commercially as a boxed edition.

At the same time we will release the source for the first level as well as all associated data files and explain the source in our popular online programming course "Amiga Homeschooling" and show people how to write Amiga games.
