I was first introduced to Linux back in 1990 and 1991. Actually, it was the UNIX operating system on an AT&T 3B2 system that my college computer science department had just gotten. The C.S. Department also had gotten a few AT&T 3B1/UNIX-PC machines at this time. During my last two years of college I learned about the UNIX programming environment and some of it's tools. I loved tinkering with these machines. Once I graduated in 1991 I didn't use UNIX or Linux again until 2019 when I reconnected with it. In January 2019 I bought a Pinebook Pro laptop and run Manjaro Linux on it. I used that for a couple years until September 2021 when I bought a System76 Pangolin 15". With these two Linux machines, I'm looking at different distributions, desktop environments, and window managers. Linux is a great working and development environment, and I love using it.
