Xlivebg is a system for live wallpapers under X11. It's both a framework for making it easy to create live wallpapers, as well as a set of bundled live wallpapers. The focus of the talk is going to be on what it takes to implement animated wallpapers for the X window system, and on the design decisions and implementation details behind xlivebg.
