Overwhelmed by a fourth lockdown I haven't made myself time to write here when I should. Last entry was four days ago on the 29th. Half way through two weeks; a first week restricted to 5km from home and second 10km. This morning a clear, sunny, windless autumn day, at least that's a step on the way to lifting the mood.
Morning masked walk up through the park to Poath road, around the block and home back through the park. Birds chirping and calling in the trees; mostly the ubiquitous Noisy miner[1]. There's one point where I look up at a leafless tree in someone's backyard and three birds are neatly silhouetted against the skyline, all singing, all different and almost forming an equilateral triangle 2m on a side. Down on the lower right is a magpie[2], warbling quietly, up a bit and to the left a raspy Common myna[3], then high up between the two a grey butcherbird[4] calling loudly and being the most musical of the bunch
