Why am I no longer on the web?

That's a legitimate question. I'm going to answer that in the following post as briefly as I can. The web has gone horribly wrong. It used to be mainly just text. It was fast, and secure. The most insecure part was the web server. Today it's become an ungodly mess of ad's, malware, tracking, spying, bloated scripting languages, slow, insecure as possible, managing SSL certs, and did I mention slow??

I just can't do it anymore. It takes to much time, maintenence, security, and effort to maintain. I have so many better things to do with that time. I always missed gopher, it was lightweight and fast. And who knows maybe ill put up a gopher server too. But for now gemini sits between gopher and the raging monster that is http. So this is where my new home will be. I look forward to web3. Some call it vaporware, I call it my last hope for the web. DONT DENY ME MY LAST HOPE! LET ME DREAM!
