The owner of Dublin's George’s Street Arcade is offering a business unit free of charge to help any potential Ukrainian business people to set up shop.
Arcade owner Gwen Layden said that the idea is not a new one and that she has several nationalities currently based in the arcade.
She told RTÉ’s News at One that the key is to make the process as seamless as possible for prospective business people.
"The Ukrainians are new and they might be shy to ask and I wanted to make sure they knew.
"Everyone has something to bring to Ireland. They have something special and unique to bring and they don’t need the language. 'Do what you love, do what’s unique to you', that’s the one thing I say to everybody.
"Don’t be daunted by bank references. That means nothing to me. I look somebody in the eye, trust is what’s important. A decent person with a good outlook is bringing something special to Ireland. We’re delighted to have the new nationalities.
"They’re such an addition and I just hope they know that but you can’t bog them down with regulations or deposits. Allow them to blossom in their own way," Ms Layden said.
There are currently business people from Mali, Palestine, India, Libya, Italy, Brazil, Venezuela, China, Korea, Poland, Nepal and Ireland based in George’s Street Arcade.
"It’s something that we’ve been doing for years. There are people coming into this country every day of the week. It’s very easy in a shopping centre to allow somebody to open for free at the start and you carry that cost. The person gets up off the ground and then they’re able to get going.
"Everyone can be housed comfortably together. It’s like a happy UN. It’s something we’ve done very easily and we’ve always done," Ms Layden added.
