Do you use a paid Usenet account, a free account on a site like
Eternal September, or an open service such as Aioe? What newsgroup
reader do you use?
I use Eternal September, as my ISP dropped Usenet support around 2005. I
will probably get around to running my own server and setting up a feed
at some point, but I'm not in that much of a hurry. I use Gnus as my
newsreader, though I have managed to compile trn for a modern Linux for
trying it out.
If new or prospective Gemini users wanted to join the group, how would
you recommend they do it?
For new users, I would recommend they use Thunderbird with an Eternal
September or similar account.
