It's been a while. School has been crazy. I am in a perpetual state of exhaustion.
The Zed Pro showed up, along with the WiFi card. I've got my work cut out for me there. I still don't know where it ended up before showing up on my doorstep, though. The desktop did too, and it looks beautiful. Turns out NMS is as addicting as ever.
I upgraded the CPU in my desktop from an i5 to an i7. It was fascinating to learn that CPUs don't have pins anymore. I should be getting another 32GB of memory today, which I'll probably install tomorrow.
I ended up buying Mathematica Desktop, MATLAB and a few toolboxes for machine learning and Simulink, and XMind 8. I thought about just using Octave, but it's been buggy in the past and apparently Windows support isn't great, so I just paid for MATLAB. Also, Simulink looks cool.
I finished up the fast intro to the wolfram language (the version for people who already know how to program). The language is a lot of fun to play with and I'm looking forward to digging into exploring more topics in maths and science with it.
