A bunch of stuff showed up early today, so I have the pi and the replacement screen. In setting up the replacement screen, I realised the cable is all kinds of fuckled, so maybe that was the issue and not the screen - so I have to wait until Tuesday for replacement cables to show up. The good thing is I got the basic deck setup done. Just need to get everything working.
Going back to raspbian for now, gonna test the install tomorrow. Too much messing around with distros to get nothing working. I did try to get the pi 4 in the deck, but it uses USB-C for power, and my power splitter is micro-USB. I could get one but that's more parts to acquire for possibly little extra value for now. Something to think about. Might try out the Pi 4 with Alpine though. Speaking of Alpine, I got it on the other netbook - turns out the latest version will install UEFI appropriately so that might be an option for this box. I just gotta make a list of everything I installed and back up ~.
Also packed some books up, but I need to record them in MementoDB.
