Beats me. I could say lazyness, but I guess it depends on if the average user wants to browse or post first. I'm just surprised a thing like this exists. Limited as it is by the input field restraints.

i wanted as little at the top of the content as possible. on lower-fi devices gemini text gets very noisy very easily. it's also where the "post a reply" is so it's consistent. as i was making iich i tried various ways to cut down on that noise and to allow the spacing, links, and formatting to delineate content where css or dividing lines would have made it easy
