And in Russia government try to block twitter. I dont use twitter, but this trying makes me angry.
What company is DC?
Do we know anything about the cause of the fire ?
I don't really like twitter, but it's never good when a government is trying to block a place where you can express yourself freely...
Definitely a crappy situation with OVH. Apparently they were storing backups in the same location as the servers. My employer's public website (not a small company, though not international) was hosted there. Good thing we've had backups copied elsewhere and were able to quickly spin up a replacement on AWS.
Is/was your government blocking other popular sites as well?
