About a month ago I switched from amfora to av98. Certificate handling. Notifications when a link leads out of geminispace. I generally despise xml. And the bookmarks shouldn't be in xml. I also don't consume any feeds that are xml as a general rule of thumb.
Then @martin made a change on gemini://station.martinrue.com to show a veeeeeery long feed. 70 links registered on av98 in total. Sometimes more, depending on which feed you are on.
It's the first time since I started browsing textual and graphical network pages that I actually miss the more button. Where I can control which page I am on. And want to traverse to. av98 has a tour feature which allows me to register a link list that I want to look at later on. And the combination of more and tour makes 70 links quite unbearable because I need to scroll up really far, and whenever I type something it immediately bounces down to the cli input.
I don't use 4k, I just have 1080p with a comfortable font size of 11 or 12pt. I think. But browsing geminispace made me realize that you need a more button (either actual, meaning served from the capsule, or virtual, meaning rendered by the client).
This means that I will have to switch browsers. Again. Because working from bottom to top isn't practical. I miss the more button now. I wish all browsers/capsules had one.
