I ran across a station entry about a blog post called: 'Gemini is a little gem'.

Gemini is a little gem

The blog post is a response to recent discussions on Hackernews. It got me thinking. What does Gemini mean to us individually? What ideals do you think the Gemini community gravitates towards?

Here's my take:

• Minimalism. Simple standards and gemtext. Gemini can be understood by anyone.
• Creativity. Since the tech and markup is simple, we are able to experiment with news ways of interaction.
• Community. A level of respect and understanding. Tight-nit.
• Discovery. That feeling of discovery on Gemini. Exploration is meaningful.

Roughly in order of personal impact. The first two points align with the blog post and my view on Gemini. The last two values come from experience using the protocol.
