An appeal for witnesses has been issued by gardaà investigating a fatal road collision, involving a pedestrian and a van, in Dublin last month.
The pedestrian, a man in his 80s, was seriously injured in the collision which occurred at around 6.50am on the North Circular Road between Phibsborough Road and Berkeley Road on Wednesday 19 January.
He was taken to the Mater Hospital, where he died on Friday 11 February.
The van driver was not injured.
Gardaà are appealing for any witnesses, particularly any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling along the NCR between Phibsborough Road and Berkeley Road between 6.40am and 7.15am on 19 January, to contact Mountjoy Garda Station on 01 666 8601, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any garda station.
