Cork Weather: Met Eireann forecast mixed conditions as Spring rolls around

Cork is set to bask in some spring sunshine today but the weather is set to be very mixed on Leeside throughout the week.

The county is set to see a mix of sunny spells, lots of cloudy conditions and the odd bit of rainfall over the next couple of days.

The national forecaster said: "A cold and frosty start this morning but any frost and ice will clear to leave a dry and bright day with long spells of sunshine.

"However, it will turn cloudier near the south coast this evening. Highest temperatures of 8 or 9 degrees in light to moderate easterly winds.

And while the rest of the countries temperatures will plummet overnight, Met Eireann reports that Cork will get some slightly milder conditions tonight.

"Becoming generally cloudy tonight with scattered patches of drizzle spreading from the south overnight. Lowest temperatures of 0 to +3 degrees generally, with a touch of frost possible.

"It will be less cold in the south of the province with lows of 3 to 5 degrees. Temperatures will rise as the night goes on in a light easterly breeze," added the forecaster.

It will be "generally cloudy tomorrow with scattered patches of light rain and drizzle."

Temperatures will sneak up as far as 11 degrees celsius throughout Wednesday the day will be largely cloudy on Leeside and other parts of Munster.
