At first glance it's unclear what the image holds within its colours and swirls.
But with closer attention it become clear, each of the 1,700 tiny boxes contained the photo of a single pet, some abandoned, other or surrendered and many with no hope of a future on their own.
The montage has been collated by Paws and People, is a small charity which received no government funding, makes mo profit and relies on the good will of friends and volunteers, the public and donations to help some of the country's most vulnerable pets.
And it's run by just two people, a mother and daughter from Banbridge whose mission was and remains to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home animals of all kinds. We are a non profit, and non funded rescue. registered charity, we rely solely on public donations and do not receive any funding or wages. We first opened our home to animals in 2014, and have been a registered charity since December 2015. The rescue is run 24/7 by a mother and daughter team.
Our Mission: To rescue, rehabilitate and re -home unwanted and abused animals, to give animals that second chance at life. We our a closed door rescue, for the safety of the animals and the public. When adopting from us there is a simlpe procedure to follow, firstly you can express your interest through calling us, emailing or contacting our facebook page. You will be requied to fill in our online application form, after which an appointment to visit your potential new family member will be organised. After visiting if you wish to adopt we then carryout a homecheck and in some cases a back ground check. Once these passes are all passed you can then adopt your new family member. There is a set rehoming fee for all our pups and dogs, all money goes directly towards the vet fees. After adoption we hold all rights to do follow up checks and remove the animal if we feel it is of the animals best interest. All our rescue dogs are covered with our lifetime back up, should they ever need rehomed again they MUST be returned to paws and people.
- We only rehome dogs to pet homes, they will not be used for working, hunting or breeding purposes.
- We rehome to N.ireland and Ireland only as we always do our
own homechecks.
-If you live in rented accomodation you will require landlord permission in the form of a letter or email; before you can visit our dogs.
-We withhold all rights to refuse ANY home should we feel it is in the best interested of the animal.
